The die head is the central component of your extrusion machine. The condition of the die head has a significant impact on the quality and productivity of your film extrusion process. Regular maintenance of the die head is essential to ensure the production of high-quality products.

Our service provides cleaning and maintenance of the heart of your extrusion machine. To facilitate a swift resumption of production with minimal interruption, we provide our Die Head Service on-site at your facility.

A W&H specialist will work with your team at your production site to perform this service. From disassembly of machine modules, inspection and cleaning of individual components, replacement of spare and wear parts to reassembly, commissioning and controlled start-up, we offer a comprehensive service tailored to the heart of your extrusion line.

The inspection and cleaning process includes not only the die head but also the air ring and multi-level bubble cooling.

Additionally, we conduct inspections and cleaning of the plastification units, comprising the vacuum conveying system, gravimetric metering system, and extruder. In addition, the screws are measured during this process to determine their condition and wear, thus ensuring optimum production in the long term.

Furthermore, comprehensive documentation and recommendations for action will be provided to you.

To shorten up the processing time, we offer an express service in addition to the standard service, where a W&H expert carries out the work with three to four of our own employees. In this case, two W&H experts will come to your production facility to perform the service with six of your employees. We will also deliver a rental toolbox to your facility, prepared for die head service and other tasks. The express option can reduce cleaning time by up to 40%.
