The enthusiasm of our customers is our best advertisement. That's why we are particularly thrilled when customers combine their investment in a W&H line with telling us about their goals and visions. Like the Italian SME Cartarredo, for whom the investment in a MIRAFLEX II is closely linked to their vision for sustainable packaging.
The two brothers Nicola and Domenico Centrone report in detail in Converter Magazine,

  • that for them, as a small to medium sized company, investing in high quality machinery is a sign of their innovative strength
  • that they have set themselves the goal of developing sustainable food packaging
  • that water-based inks are an important competitive advantage for them in the new primary packaging market
  • that the MIRAFLEX II impressed them with technical features such as assistance and automation systems. But that the decisive factor was the visit to W&H and the cooperative approach to development.

Thank you, Cartarredo, for including us in your amazing story!

About the customer

The company Cartarredo (with a turnover of between 5 and 6 million euros, about fifteen permanent employees, two factories of 2000 and 3500 square meters and a great yearning for new spaces) is based in Bari, Italy. The family company is specialized in the design and production of plastic, polyurethane, paper and cardboard packaging (and complements) for the fruit and vegetable, food and other sectors.

The company was given its name by the father of the current owners, Nicola and Domenico Centrone, who emigrated to Venezuela where he became a building contractor and, upon his return home, founded Cartarredo for printing wallpaper. And it is in printing, albeit that of packaging, that the film about today’s company is all about.
