Windmöller & Hölscher and subsididary GARANT invite packaging industry to their booth at interpack 2026

Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H), leading german machine builder and specialist for flexible packaging will exhibit at interpack from May 7 to 13 2026. Together with their subsidiary GARANT, the specialist for paper bag production, W&H will welcome visitors at their 160sqm booth in Düsseldorf. GARANT will additionally offer an Open House at their headquarters alongside the show.

The 160 sqm W&H booth in Hall 12, A39 is designed as a hospitality concept, offering plenty of space for talks and discussions around the most pressing topics in the industry. With changing regulations and increasing pressure on many producers, W&H sees a growing demand for consultation and orientation to support an efficient transition towards sustainable packaging production.

Centerpiece of the booth is a supermarket shelf showcasing sustainable MDO-PE packaging produced on W&H machinery worldwide. This collection of real packaging solutions proves that MDO-PE is no longer a theory, but reality. With the headline “It´s already in the shelves” a selection of international packaging is there to show that MDO-PE is an economic way to produce packaging under today´s conditions. In addition to these examples from the store shelf, W&H and GARANT will present further sample solutions illustrating how the latest machine technologies and new recipes address the demand of both economic efficiency and sustainability. These sample solutions include an MDO-PE frozen food pouch for extreme conditions, packaging with printed or extruded barrier or a 35% PCR stretch film among other samples.

“MDO still has the reputation of being difficult. Many film producing companies have explored MDO in recent years but have not taken the final step. Understandable in times when the only certainty is uncertainty. Over the past years, we have worked intensively on MDO and have made its handling increasingly simple, reliable, and economical. Customers who have taken this path with us are successfully producing MDO films today. That makes us proud and the experience feeds into our future customer relations. The supermarket shelf symbolizes this, and we invite companies to get in touch during interpack and profit from our knowledge.” says Dr. Torsten Schmitz, Managing Director Business Unit Extrusion.

W&H will be present with representatives from all business units: Extrusion, Printing, Converting, Services and Digital Products.

Open House at GARANT

Co-exhibitor GARANT MASCHINEN will host an accompanying Open House on May 7-8 and May 11-13 from 10am to 4pm. Prior registration is required.

“interpack is the central meeting point for the international packaging industry,” says Torsten Berding, Managing Director of GARANT. “With our Open House in Lengerich, we deliberately create space for in-depth discussions, live demonstrations and direct exchange. This enables us to work with our customers on concrete solutions and make technology tangible in a real production environment.”

Visitors can experience live demonstrations of paper packaging machinery, including the TRIUMPH 5-F6, showcasing high-speed production with advanced paper processing of block bottom carrier bags, as well as the MATADOR e.BAG with End-of-Line Automation, an all-in-one solution for paper-based mailers from bag making to palletizing.
