POLYTEX – cost effective multi-purpose tuber including winder for the production of one- or two-ply flat and side gusseted tubes from plastic films, woven fabric and composite materials with a speed range up to 150 m/min. Due to its modular design, the POLYTEX can be tailored to meet most different market and user requirements.
The POLYTEX is the ideal machine for the production of high quality tubing for the entire range of premade and FFS specialty bags. To name but a few examples: sacks made from stretched films, composite materials, non-wovens, film and woven fabric laminated to paper and aluminum, or two-ply sacks. Forming the tube from the flat web allows for special sack constructions providing seam venting possibility for extremely dusty products. Add to this, excellent quality printing is possible on flat webs only.
As an added benefit, the tube forming process offers a cost reduction potential: Multi-up production of flat films on wide blown film lines helps the film producer exploit economies of scale. Higher blow-up ratios can be used and folded edge damage is avoided permitting film thickness to be reduced without compromising film strength. Downstream converting machine efficiency is enhanced by the narrow tube width tolerances achieved through the tubing process. The performance of the AD CONVERTEX in particular is given a boost since blocking of tubing caused by strike-through will not occur any longer.
