W&H strengthens its presence in Asia-Pacific
New subsidiaries and local offices in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Korea and the Philippines support W&H service and sales in the Asia Pacific region.
At the beginning of 2019, W&H opened subsidiaries with local service and support teams in Jakarta, Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and soon also in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Customers in Korea and the Philippines will from now on be supported by subsidiaries managed by W&H. We have been present in the Asia-Pacific market for more than 40 years. Today, the WHAP team consists of more than 130 employees, including over 65 service technicians, who support our customers with technical solutions, maintenance and spare parts service.
"We are investing heavily in the new regional structure to better support our customers across the entire machine portfolio and life cycle. The new subsidiaries will take our presence in the Asia-Pacific region to the next level," says Michael Fischer, CEO W&H Asia-Pacific.
The regional headquarters of Windmöller & Hölscher Asia-Pacific Co. Ltd. was established in Bangkok in 1996, followed by W&H Asia in Hong Kong in 1998, W&H Australasia in 2008 and Windmöller & Hölscher Machinery Co. in Taicang, China in 2014.
