New trainees embrace fresh start as graduates achieve excellence

W&H is happy to grow and have welcomed 38 new vocational trainees and dual students. At the same time, we are proud of 33 trainees who have successfully completed their training.

A warm welcome to 38 new trainees!

At the start of the new training year, the W&H Academy welcomed 38 new trainees on August 1 - the highest number in years. In the first few days, the young career starters got to know their new employer.

Board member Martin Schulteis and Olaf Heymann-Riedel, Managing Director of the W&H Academy, welcomed the new trainees on their first day at the company's headquarters in Lengerich. The first week was all about the introduction: The trainees took their first steps into the W&H corporate world and got to know their respective departments as well as the products. The week was rounded off with an outdoor teambuilding event to strengthen team spirit and cooperation.

"We offer our trainees targeted support right from the start, preparing them optimally for their future challenges in professional life," says Olaf Heymann-Riedel. "With practice-oriented training, accompanied by our experienced trainers, we make this possible."

The W&H Academy provides training in many different professional fields. This year, it has expanded the range of apprenticeships on offer and this has also been very well received: Ten more trainees than last year are starting their careers at our company. The apprenticeship professions on offer include industrial mechanic, electronics technician, fracture mechanic, industrial clerk, media technologist, IT specialist, technical systems planner and product designer. In addition, there are dual study programs in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and computer engineering.

33 Successful graduations - Congratulations!

As new apprentices take their first steps into professional life, this year's W&H graduates proudly look back on their achieved successes: On August 11, the freshly minted career starters celebrated their completed vocational training. A total of 29 trainees passed their Chamber of Industry and Commerce exams with flying colors, and four obtained their bachelor's degrees.

They achieved top results in the process: The average grade in training is 86.41%, which corresponds to a very good grade 2. It is particularly pleasing that four of the graduates were even able to achieve the outstanding grade of "very good". The four dual students also finished with an impressive performance, earning their bachelor's degree with an average grade of 1.61.

Our graduates are thus ideally equipped to continue their professional journey: Of the total of 33 successfully completed training courses and degree programs, 27 graduates are continuing their careers at W&H, three of them in a master's program.
