W&H Indonesia celebrates Opening Gala

W&H´s board of management and local team welcomed 50 VIP Customers from both leading consumer as well industrial packaging players at Mulia Hotel, Jakarta in May 2019.

Machinery manufacturer W&H has been significantly enhancing its local presence in Asia-Pacific: With the beginning of 2019 W&H has opened a fully owned subsidiary with local service and support teams in Jakarta, Indonesia. The specialist for machines for flexible packaging has been present in the Asian-Pacific Market for more than 60 years.

More than 50 VIP customers not only from Jakarta, Banten, West and Central Java, but also Medan and Surabaya joined the special VIP opening event.

W&H´s managing partner Peter Steinbeck attended as a guest of honor and also the management of W&H´s regional HQ in Bangkok joined. Michael Fischer, CEO Asia-Pacific, took the opportunity to introduce W&H´s history and development in the region. On behalf of W&H Indonesia, Maximilian Clüsserath, President Director, also gave an introduction to the local set-up which consists of 10x people for both local service and business development teams.

For decades W&H has built up its own sales and service business in Asia Pacific. Today the WHAP team consists of more than 130 people, among them more than 65 service technicians who support with technical solutions, maintenance and spare part services.

W&H customers also had the opportunity to join a lucky draw, which consisted of Life Cycle Services (LCS); this service concept enables customers to benefit from the vast experience of W&H process engineers who support to improve the production and performance of the equipment and surrounding processes.

Michael Fischer, CEO Asia-Pacific concludes: “W&H is investing significantly into the new regional structure to support our customers even better across the entire machine portfolio and life-cycle and we will grow our footprint in Asia-Pacific and particularly Indonesia to the next level.”
