W&H´s highlights at CHINAPLAS 2026

As a global technology leader, W&H presented its latest, innovative solutions in extrusion, printing and converting technology at Chinaplas 2026. During this year´s show in Shanghai W&H enjoyed high visitor numbers, many quality and hot discussions as well as smiles and good moments with customers.

W&H was able to emphasize its market position with a 120m² booth in a well exposed headstand location at the German Pavilion. At the booth W&H has displayed solutions for extrusion, printing and converting with the focus on performance and recyclability. Several MDO-PE solutions, accompanied by samples from various key industry partners, customers and real samples from brand-owners have received a lot of attraction.

During the show W&H has also received an Outstanding Achievement Award at Adsale Plastics Network Top 10 Plastics & Rubber Technology Trends Case Awards for “Easy2 Run”, under the category of “Fast AI Evolution”. Following comprehensive evaluation according to the Judging panel W&H´s one-click automatic production capacity maximization function and precise frost line monitoring demonstrate strong value in process optimization.

Open House with live demonstration

Additionally on April 23rd, W&H together with ExxonMobil (EM) held an open house at its Shanghai Technology Center, inviting customers to witness within EM´s impressive facilities an exclusive show of W&H´s VAREX 5L+MDO and also its latest Easy2Run Assistant!

Almost 200 customers from both China and Southeast Asia followed the invitation and a series of activities, including company introductions, live machine demonstrations and sample discussion and technical meetings with both EM and W&H teams.

Highlights of the event included 2x separate shows with a live demonstration of both

  • Easy2Run showing transparent visualization of performance reserves for each machine component and the achievable maximum output. We demonstrated automatic ramp-up to the optimal operating point at the push of a button – within safe limits (from 298kg to an eye dropping 450kg/h within 7min).
  • a sealable MDO-PE pouch which is 30% thinner than standard frozen food market solutions – without compromising performance. Engineered for efficiency, the film delivers high stiffness, excellent clarity and outstanding bag drop resistance (proved from the tower platform also).

Furthermore W&H strengthened its partnerships with Dow during an offline customer event, showcasing among others a recyclable high barrier sachet; while conventional sachets rely on metallized films, W&H´s blown mono-material contains less than 2% EVOH, according to recycling regulations

Last but not least Chinaplas has been a great opportunity to emphasize its strong after-sales and service focus – across W&H´s portfolio for extrusion printing, converting, with local service teams in Asia-Pacific. W&H´s claim "We care" emphasizes this commitment to the life-cycle services and our regional presence in each market.
