Together with CEO Dr. Falco Paepenmüller and CSO Dr. Sascha Witt, he forms the three-member Executive Board of W&H. Ecken succeeds Martin Schulteis, who left the company by mutual agreement in April.
Dr. Ecken brings extensive international experience in mechanical and plant engineering. Before joining W&H, he held various leadership positions within the Körber Group, most recently as CFO and COO of the technology group's digital division. Previously, he was responsible, among other things, for the finance department of a Körber subsidiary in pharmaceutical packaging machinery and worked for the company in the USA.
The 39-year-old economist's main areas of focus include, in addition to financial management, corporate development, digitalization, and the transformation of financial organizations. "I was impressed from the very beginning by W&H's technological expertise, innovative strength, and know-how. But what convinced me the most were the people in the company," says Dr. Philipp Ecken.
"With Philipp Ecken, we are gaining a proven financial expert with international experience in the machinery and plant engineering sector. W&H will particularly benefit from his strong focus on digitalization in the coming years," says Dr. Falco Paepenmüller, CEO of W&H.
