At 500 m/min in seconds - First HELIOSTAR in India at Balaji
Balaji Multiflex is the first company in India using a HELIOSTAR gravure printing press from W&H for printing flexible packaging. The company also trusts in W&H for extrusion: with a blown film line VAREX II . As part of the Image-to-Print in India, Balaji presented the nine-color gravure printing line and the blown film line to a large audience for the first time.
Director Pranav Bhalara welcomed over 200 experts to the machine demonstrations in his company. The HELIOSTAR has a width of 1,400 mm and a maximum printing speed of 500 m/min. During the demonstration, the machine printed a seven-color print job on a 15-micron BOPP film. From 82 m/min, the machine increased the printing speed to 500 m/min within seconds without losing registration. Also remarkable: The machine is extremely quiet even at high speeds.
